Notice of Intent to Escheat Unclaimed Funds on Deposit with or Held by the Court under Government Code § 68084.1
You are hereby advised that Inyo Superior Court has the following funds on deposit that have not been claimed for at least three years since the payment was issued or the funds first became eligible for distribution. Under Gov. Code § 68084.1(a), the funds will become the property of the Superior Court if the owner(s) fail to present a claim or file a verified complaint seeking the recovery of the funds by October 31, 2024.
If you believe that you, or a person for whom you are a legal guardian or representative, are entitled to all or a portion of the funds held by the Superior Court, you must submit the “Claim Affirmation Form” no later than October 31, 2024. The claim form must include the claimants name, address, amount of claim, basis for the claim, and reason why a prior claim for the funds was not made. The claim form must be submitted before the date designated herein.
